400m² full coating removal underway before installing a brand-new epoxy resin system.

The existing coating has reached the end of its life, so we’re taking it right back to the concrete to create the perfect surface for a long-lasting finish. Proper preparation is everything when it comes to achieving a durable, high-quality epoxy floor.

Another failed garage floor rescued and brought back to life. 👌

We were called in after a previous coating installation had completely failed, leaving the floor unsuitable for use and requiring a full refurbishment.

Our process started with a full diamond grind to remove the failed coating and prepare a sound substrate. We then applied two coats of primer to ensure maximum adhesion before addressing the heavily damaged and uneven concrete with a self-levelling compound.

The floor is now perfectly prepared and ready for our decorative flake system installation.

Proper preparation is everything when it comes to resin flooring. Cut corners at the start, and the floor will eventually tell the story.

🔥 Specialist Floor Preparation Project – Kent 🔥

A recent project in Kent where we were brought in to carry out floor preparation works ahead of a metallic epoxy resin floor installation at a private residence.

The existing concrete floor needed extensive preparation before the resin system could be installed. We started with diamond grinding and carried out structural crack repairs across the slab.

Once the repairs were complete, we installed a moisture vapour barrier with a kiln-dried sand scatter to help control moisture and provide a suitable base for the next stage.

To finish, we applied a reinforced self-levelling compound to create a flat, smooth surface ready for the metallic epoxy installation.
