We often forget about the entrance hall⊠donât we?
Yet itâs the first âhelloâ from your home.
The place that welcomes you after a long day.
The first impression for friends walking through your door.
The beginning of your story.
And still⊠itâs usually the last space we think about.
For us, an entrance hall should be practical; but also joyful. đŠ Because when itâs beautiful, it quietly makes you happy every time you come home. And honestly, who doesnât want that?
If youâre lucky enough to have the space, we love a round table as the focal point. An antique one, even better! đ A spot for seasonal flowers, favourite pots, a few beautiful books⊠a bowl from a trip, a key tray (because we all lose them), and of course a candle. So the scent of your home greets you before anything else.
Add a small bench or settee, somewhere to pause, put on shoes, or wait for someone before heading out together.
Wall lights are a must (the big light rarely makes an appearance here). Then layer the walls: panelling, collected artwork, prints that make you smile. Add a rug for warmth, and suddenly⊠itâs not just a hallway anymore.
If you have an entrance hall, celebrate it.
If you donât, create one. Even a small corner can change how your home feels.
Weâre always here if youâd like help creating your own welcome homeđ€
