Privilege to restore this beautiful property back to its original glory in my home town of Stakeford, ground out and repointed with a natural lime mortar, this will not only prevent damp, allowing the house to breathe, also extending the life of the bricks and makes the house look great.

Also working for a lovely couple makes the job easier. Got another 3 more jobs from this one.

We restored this beautiful property back to its original state. Paint which was damaging the stonework was professionally removed by Ecoblast,

Underneath the paint was hard cement pointing which was also damaging the stonework. This was carefully removed and repointed with a natural lime mortar.

Bringing it back to its former glory.

Although the husband was sad to see the Salmon pink paint go as it was his ‘favourite colour’, he eventually agreed it looked great once completed.

We recently brought this property in Heaton back to life with a rake out and repoint with a natural lime mortar.

Not only improving the look of the property, we’ve improved its curb appeal and value, also allowing it to breathe. Preventing damp and potential brick damage/spalling.

With all this bad weather, it’s been handy to have a couple of exposed chimney breasts to repoint this week. First one was a simple clean and repoint with lime.

Second one was rake out, paint removal, brick clean, brick repair and a lime mortar repoint.

First time I’ve seen Sponge Bob Square Pants graffiti on a wall! paint removed, bricks cleaned, I repaired the bricks with lime, this saved removing bricks and potentially causing further damage.

The brickwork was never intended to be seen, but they both look 100% better and was in keeping with both properties being Victorian.

Two jobs this week, first one, bay window with some cement pointing, brickwork cleaned and repointed with a black weather struck lime mortar to match existing pointing on the property.

Second property, partially painted to hide previous painted gate posts, paint removed professionally removed by Ecoblast. https://m.facebook.com/EcoBlast-103241468383254/

We cleaned the brickwork and repointed with a lime mortar, flush pointed.

Two different styles of pointing, both properties transformed.

This property dates back to 1856 and was showing its age, the stone and brickwork was looking dirty with carbon build up. The gable end had been rendered to prevent damp. This was actually causing damp along with the rear being partially painted, causing damp also.

Unfortunately we couldn’t do anything about the badly matched gable rebuild!

We hacked off the render, revealing damaged bricks and mortar stains, bricks repaired and tinted to hide the render stains.

Brickwork gently cleaned. Full grind out and repointed with a natural lime mortar, letting the property breathe and allowing the property to dry out and bringing it back to its original beauty.

Big thanks to Ecoblast for another professional service, cleaning the stonework and removing the paint.

This property had been pebble dashed, once we’d removed the pebble dash we discovered that the property had previously been a shop. The shop front had been removed and bricked up with different coloured bricks also the lintels were concrete.

Brickwork was professionally cleaned by Ecoblast.

We tinted the bricks and rendered the lintels to give the appearance of stone.

Repointed with a lime mortar to allow the property to breathe again.

A massive improvements

It was a pleasure to bring this beautiful property in Bedlington back to life, originally a farm house dating back to 1752.

It was professionally cleaned by Jason from Ecoblast, we then carefully removed all the cement pointing which was damaging the stonework, it was then repointed with a natural lime mortar. This will allow the building to breathe again. https://www.facebook.com/Ampropertymaintence/ https://www.facebook.com/EcoBlast-103241468383254/

And will extend the life of the building for an another few hundred years!
