Cateran Yomp 2026 – we did it! 🏅🏅

A tough challenge from start to finish: long miles, relentless climbs, and plenty of time on our feet. The conditions were much kinder than expected, and somehow we made it through without a single blister. There are a few aches now 🤣

By around mile 40, the physical fatigue really started to kick in and it became as much a mental challenge as a physical one. Feet were hurting, muscles tight and cramping, but we kept moving and ticked off the miles 🥾🥾

Thanks to my Yomping buddy Martin for 55 miles of chat and motivation, and to his wife Kim for being a fantastic support crew 🚐

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and donated. Your encouragement and generosity helped keep us going when things got tough. My fundraising total for this event is just over £700. We couldn’t have done it without you! 😊

In a weeks time I will be up in Scotland ready to take on The Cateran Yomp. 54 miles and 7,000’ of elevation within 24 hours. I’ll be trading my green t-shirt for trail shoes and waterproofs!

I’m doing this to raise funds for ABF The Soldiers Charity who provide a lifetime of financial, practical, and emotional support to serving soldiers, veterans, and their immediate families.

It’s a tough event, and at the moment the conditions aren’t looking good! 💦💦💦

I’ve put in some training miles and done my best to find some elevation, which is not easy in flat Essex 🤣

I would really appreciate your support to motivate me through what will be a painful day and night of continuous walking 🥾🥾
