Happy Friday folks! Sorry for completely abandoning my Insta feed in the last few months. I’m happy to say that it’s for no other reason than being snowed under with work which I am extremely grateful for.
I’ve loved working on this headboard, I’m just adding the finishing touches before it goes to it’s new home Carnival by is a such a great fabric for statement pieces I’ve used three colour ways so far and I think this blueberry may be my favourite. What do you think?

I’ve been hand stitching braid on to a rustic kitchen blind today. 17 days of children’s isolation eventually gave me the push I needed to move my sewing room in to our now almost redundant play room. The light is perfect and a long tailed tit arrived at the window today to say hello. Happy days ☺️

Apologies for the photos at jaunty angles but window seats designed to fit exactly in to bays always look slightly odd standing alone 🤔 This frame is made and unholstered in Yorkshire using💯 British components and fabric.

It feels like everyone’s nesting at the moment, we’re spending so much time in our homes making them calm and cosy is more important than ever. I’m bringing a some warmer colours in to a neutral room starting with a pair of marbled lampshades made this week.

My afternoon’s been spent prepping all the bits and pieces I need to make a footstool similar to this one I made a couple of years ago. I’m really loving Rita Konig’s Interior Design Course I’m doing ; in the first lesson Rita talks about the luxury and calm created by having everything you need to hand. A huge ottoman placed between two sofas is perfect for this job with space for a tray for your drinks and nibbles, magazines, beautiful coffee table books and still room to put your feet up. 😌

During lockdown I seem to make frequent accidental trips down virtual rabbit holes, I can lose hours floating aimlessly around online. Recently I happily stumbled across this marbled fabric, designed and printed in the UK and crying out to be made in to a lampshade. I’m pretty happy with the result, what do you think?
