It’s been all hands on deck at the nursery lately! 🌿

The team have been incredibly busy potting up plants and filling hanging baskets ready for the season ahead. Every basket and pot has been hand-planted with care, giving each one its own little bit of individuality and charm. 🌸

We love seeing them come together and can’t wait for you all to enjoy them just as much as we do 😊

May really is one of the best months at the nursery. 🌿

Everything suddenly seems to burst into life at once — the beds are full, the hanging baskets are starting to show off, and there’s colour everywhere you turn. After a long winter and a chilly spring, it’s lovely to finally see the nursery looking so full and vibrant again.

Tonight may be another cool one, but there are definitely warmer days just around the corner, and you can feel the season properly beginning now. The fresh growth, longer evenings and splash of colour everywhere make all the hard work feel worthwhile.

If you’ve not been by yet this season, now’s a lovely time for a wander round — the nursery is looking fantastic at the moment. 🌸

Our first hanging baskets and container plants are now ready and available 🌸🌿

All lovingly hand-grown, hard-grown with no heat, and hand-potted here by us for strong, healthy plants that will thrive through the season.

Perfect for adding a splash of colour to patios, doorsteps and gardens — but do still keep an eye on the forecast, as there’s still a risk of frost overnight.

If you’re itching to fill your garden with colour, now’s the time many of us start buying and planting tender annuals 🌸

But a gentle word of caution, especially for those of us in the countryside — with a cold spell on the way, it’s worth holding back just a little. Rural gardens are often more exposed, and late frosts can be sharper and linger longer than in towns and cities.

If you’ve already picked up plants like petunias, cosmos, or marigolds, consider keeping them in a greenhouse, porch, or on a bright windowsill for now. If they’re already planted out, a layer of fleece overnight can make all the difference.

It’s always tempting to get ahead, but a bit of patience now will save disappointment later. Warmer nights will come soon enough — and your garden will thank you for it 🌿
