Set on a 5 acre site in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley Hansons Garden Centre has been servicing the gardening needs of the area for more than 60 years. We are very much a traditional Garden Centre with plants being at the core of what we do. When you visit us you will find a wide range of hardy trees and shrubs, herbaceous perennials, seasonal bedding and basket plants, and
probably the

largest selection of indoor house plants in Lancashire. That’s not to say we don’t have every thing else you would expect to find in a modern Garden Centre. A huge range of ceramic and plastic pots, all the fertilizers composts and sundries you need to keep your plants healthy and pest free. **Garden Tip Of The Week**

Tidy borders

Keep on weeding and have a gentle tidy up in your borders but do try to resist the temptation of a thorough spring clean. Leave seedheads for the birds if you don't want to collect them and as much cover as you can bear for wildlife who will appreciate the winter shelter.

Fallen leaves can be left to rot down (or collected for leaf mould), however diseased material is another matter; make it a priority to clear and burn it to prevent pests and diseases overwintering courtesy of your kind hospitality! Put the rest of your garden rubbish (apart from woody stems) in the compost.
