πͺ Thinking about French doors for your home?
We've just published a full guide on our Advice Hub covering everything Glasgow homeowners ask us about French doors β costs, materials, whether they're better than bi-folds, and what the planning rules look like in Scotland.
A couple of things in there that might surprise you:
π You don't always need an existing door opening. We regularly convert a ground-floor window into French doors β lowering the cill, fitting the doors, job done. Most of the time there's no new lintel needed, which keeps the cost down considerably.
π Hinge restrictors are worth fitting. In the West of Scotland, an unrestrained door catching a gust can cause real damage over time. A small addition that makes a big difference.
uPVC French doors from Β£1,400 fitted. Aluminium from Β£2,000.
Made right here in Clydebank.
