If you’ve been passing our project sites across Colchester and Chelmsford lately, you might have noticed our site boards have had an upgrade! Our founder, Cheryl, is out today distributing the new designs to our live sites.

While Studio Hedg has been a proud RIBA Chartered Practice since 2022, we felt it was time our signage truly reflected that "gold standard" status we’ve been operating under for years.

The final results of our Kingsmeadow Road project!

Rather than a complete refurbishment, this project focused on carefully refining and extending a cherished home to better suit the family's evolving needs. It proves you don't always need to strip a house back to its shell to change how it feels to live in.

This Extension & Renovation focused on "Purposeful Expansion."

Highlights include:

🌿 Indoor-Outdoor Flow: A new rear extension and pergola that bridges the gap between the living areas and the garden.
🎨 Personality Driven: We worked with the clients to highlight their style, introducing teal feature walls and soft pink accents to the new spaces.
☀️ Light & Volume: Strategically placed skylights bring sunshine into the new layout (even in the UK winter!).
🧱 Modern Touch: A crisp white rendered entrance porch that neatly updates the front elevation.

The Studio HEDG team has swapped blueprints for bold prints today to celebrate here in Colchester. We spend all year designing healthy, happy buildings, but today is all about designing a few smiles (and raising money for a great cause!).
