My rose is flowering!! 😭

My rose had a flower or two last year but this year it’s really thriving. I thought it was a gonner a few weeks ago because it had established itself for years in a pot belonging to my ex so it had to be repotted so I could keep the rose. It did not take well at all to being repotted so I bought it a bigger pot and repotted it with new compost AGAIN and this time it liked it!

It feels like a sign 🤍❤️ 🌹

I’M BACK! 😱 long time, no post. So I’m not surprised if nobody remembers me!

My life got a bit crazy for a year or so. Last time you saw me I’d bought a house and had my own garden at my fingertips. Now, life is a bit different but a lot happier ☀️ I’m back to renting and have no “garden” so I’m making a little container garden to call my own. This is literally all I have so far! So follow me on this new journey into making this outdoor space a happy one!

Went specifically for veggie plants but I fell in love with this geranium and couldn’t leave it! Did you really go to the garden centre if you didn’t buy something you didn’t need?

First trip to Perrywood in Sudbury yesterday. 🪴
Perrywood Tiptree is still my favourite but it felt like an honour to get a seat in the actual tearoom in the Sudbury site! For once I left a garden centre without buying anything but hoping to stock up soon enough once the garden is ready ☺️

If hadn’t already warned me months ago, I would’ve been horrified when I found this couch grass had grown THROUGH my potatoes.

Went to the allotment today and realised I’d completely forgotten to harvest a batch of potatoes 😱 A nice surprise until I saw a few of them had been impaled with couch grass. I harvested enough intact ones not to be bothered but I had to bring them home to show my boyfriend anyway. Super fascinating but also think this confirms that couch grass is some form of alien species?!

MY FIRST PEAS 🫛
After a short allotment visit yesterday I came back with some pea pods. They definitely could’ve been left longer to fatten up but I was so desperate to eat some fresh peas! I just had to! They were DELISH
