Oil boiler service carried out this morning 🔧

Full strip-down and clean of the heat exchanger, removing and hoovering out the baffles to keep efficiency high and carbon build-up low.

Checked and replaced the nozzle where required, carried out pump pressure test, and completed full combustion analysis to ensure correct and safe operation.

Final checks included flue inspection and visual checks for any leaks — all running clean, efficient, and safe ✅

Called out to a boiler losing pressure.

Found the expansion vessel had lost its charge, causing pressure to spike when heating was on and discharge through the PRV.

Recharged to correct pressure — issue now fully resolved 👍

Recharged, serviced, and now running perfectly 👍

🔥 Before & After – Heating System Upgrade

Out with the old, in with the new.

We removed an old back boiler and hot water cylinder and upgraded the property to a modern Ideal Logic Max combination boiler with a 10-year warranty.

Work carried out:
• Removal of old back boiler and cylinder
• Installation of Ideal Logic Max combi boiler
• Full system flush to clean the heating system
• Gas pipework upgraded to meet current standards
• Heating pipework altered for the new combi system

The result is a far more efficient system, instant hot water, and a lot more space in the property.

Today we replaced an old Suprema Band B condensing boiler, which had been in service for over 20 years and was showing ongoing reliability issues.

We fitted a new Baxi 400, 18 kW boiler — slightly larger than the previous 15 kW to give better performance and efficiency throughout the property.

Boiler Fault Report – Vaillant Ecofit / Ecotech

The boiler wasn’t firing due to a blocked condensate hose from the heat exchanger. This caused water to back up inside the unit and stop ignition.

We’ve cleared the blockage, flushed the line, and tested the boiler — it’s now running perfectly again.

No parts were needed, and the previous gas valve diagnosis wasn’t the cause.

We removed the old copper hot water cylinder, which relied on a shower pump to boost the flow. It had begun leaking and causing other issues, so we replaced it with a modern unvented hot water cylinder. The new system takes its supply directly from the mains, giving you stronger water pressure throughout the home, greater efficiency, and no need for a separate pump.
