Wet November saw us completing phase 2 of work at Harold's Park Wildland under the watchful eye of the resident free roaming pigs.

Work consisted of just shy of 2km Tornado Wire UK & Ireland Ltd deer netting on chestnut posts sourced from Essex and Suffolk woodlands and 6 galvanised deer gates.

The new fencing creates 4 new plantations on the site for a variety of different trees for habitat creation.

When traditional and modern meet….

A month or so ago we completed two new stretches of bespoke boundary fencing for a long standing customer for who durability is always key.

For field boundaries Tornado Wire UK & Ireland Ltd pro-strain and I-post system was used along with galvanised pedestrian gate and steel palisade pailings in lieu of timber rails.

For the roadside boundary a fully welded Estate fence was installed complete with additional plain line wires run through the posts to make dog proof and a matching style gate to finish.

All left ready for landscapers to finish the driveway up to our levels.

After being tied up for 4 weeks on our previous job in Epping this week was time to catch up on smaller job’s. Lots of gates, some short runs of dog proofing and retaining walls to create an access ramp for Brookfarm Plant & Grounds Maintenance

Earlier this week we put the finishing touches to this project for Harold's Park Wildland as part of their rewilding programme. With a distant view of the London skyline 16 miles away this historic site is a true haven for wildlife.
Using native chestnut timber posts from Essex,Suffolk and Kent, 6- rail heavy duty timber gates from Charlton Gates in Somerset, wire products from Tornado Wire UK & Ireland Ltd and all installed with the help of Protech Machinery and Solo Fencing Systems machines both built in the UK.
Works consisted of 1000m stock fencing, 10 gates with a mixture of vehicular, bridleway and kissing and just shy of 800m peeled and mortised post and 2 rail fencing with stockwire.
The new fencing makes the central farmyard area stock proof enabling the remaining almost 500 acres to be roamed freely by native livestock which will be added over the coming months.
We are looking forward to continuing works on the site and seeing it take shape with refurbished buildings and new planting.

It’s been another busy week with circa 1600m stock fencing completed in Colne Engaine to reinstate boundaries and protect newly planted hedging.
Using a combination of Tornado Wire Ltd and creosote timber to ensure longevity.
For the historians out there, the monument in the background of some of the pictures was built in 1790, stands at 70ft tall and is topped with a copper urn featuring bullet holes from WW2

In stark contrast to the thousands of metres of stock fencing posted yesterday here we have two recently completed estate fencing installations.
Both feature curved sections where individual rails were rolled on site to suit prior to threading through posts and welding together.
The first of the two jobs will be left to go rusty and the second we painted on site upon completion.
Thanks to their all steel construction these fences will be good for decades to come.

In March we carried out our first project for Essex Wildlife Trust on the remote Howlands Marsh nature reserve in St Osyth. Works required clearance and replacement of just over 2km of stock fencing with all wire removed from site for recycling and old posts left in nature piles.
New fence was constructed using locally sourced chestnut timber from Essex and Suffolk woodlands and Tornado Wire Ltd high tensile stock net and plain wires, existing gateways were adjusted/ re-hung as required to make serviceable again. Lots of tie backs and breast blocks used thanks to many, many twists and turns hopefully keeping fencing good for years to come.

First month of the year complete and the Christmas break already seems so long ago. We’ve had a mixed bag including Horserail, chestnut post and rail, boundary clearance, stock fencing, rabbit fencing, entrance gates, octagonal tree surrounds and even a small bridge.
