Another roller door in the bag — this time a Hörmann RollMatic 2 finished in a smart light grey. 🚪

The RollMatic is one of our go-to recommendations when space is tight. Rather than swinging out or running back along the ceiling, the door rolls vertically up into a compact roll box above the opening. That means no lost headroom inside the garage, nothing protruding over the driveway, and full use of the space right up to the door — ideal for shorter drives and garages doubling up as workshops or storage.

Upgrade time — out with the old, in with the new. 🚪

This one was a full replacement. The old door had done its years, so we fitted a brand new Hörmann sectional overhead in a brown wood grain finish. The result is a rich, wood grain surface that lifts the whole frontage, without the sanding, sealing and weathering that come with real wood.

Sectional doors are our go-to for a reason. The panels travel vertically and tuck up under the ceiling, so there’s no swing-out into the driveway and you keep full use of the space out front. Add the built-in insulation and smooth, quiet running and it’s a serious step up from an old up-and-over.

We were back on site for a very special client this week, fitting another black Hörmann canopy door to match the one we installed previously — same spec, right down to the crisp horizontal ribs and the deep matte black finish.

Just finished fitting two Hörmann L-Ribbed sectional garage doors alongside a matching Hörmann side door — all three finished in anthracite grey and installed to Hörmann’s design specification.

The L-Ribbed profile gives that classic horizontal line pattern, and when you spec the matching side door alongside the sectionals, the ribbing carries straight across the full run. Every line meets, every panel sits true. The brief: replace an ageing anthracite grey sectional overhead door, and use the same opening to add a dedicated personnel door for staff. The solution: a brand new industrial roller shutter alongside a matching personnel door, both finished in anthracite grey for a clean, consistent look.

Why a roller over another sectional? The slatted curtain rolls vertically into a compact barrel at the head of the opening — no horizontal tracks running back into the building ⚙️ That’s reclaimed ceiling space inside the unit, which matters when you’ve got racking, lighting, or services running overhead.

The real game-changer, though, is the personnel door alongside it.
