Last week, the CMS Group team headed to The Flemish Weaver in Corsham for some after-work drinks and a chance to catch up outside of the office.

A little later than our usual First Tuesday get-together, but still a great evening spent with the team!

It's always good to take some time away from the day-to-day and enjoy each other's company.

A great morning of networking, conversation and inspiration!

On Thursday, Peter attended the Total Business Network Wiltshire & Cotswolds Business Networking Brunch at Basset Down Complex.

It was a great opportunity to meet local business leaders and professionals, make new connections and catch up with familiar faces. The table-swap networking format meant plenty of conversations and opportunities to connect with people from across the region.

The morning also included an inspiring talk from Laura Rawlings of Wiltshire Wild Sauna, sharing her remarkable journey and the importance of being bold enough to turn ideas and dreams into reality.

A fantastic event with great conversations and plenty of new connections.

Wednesday was Lexi’s final day at CMS Group, marking the end of a fantastic journey that began when she contacted us directly to ask about becoming our first-ever T-Level student.

From the very beginning, Lexi showed great initiative, motivation and determination. What started as a college placement quickly developed into Lexi becoming a valued member of the CMS team.

Throughout her time with us, she embraced every opportunity available, attending project meetings and site visits, gaining experience across the business and building her confidence along the way.

When her initial placement came to an end, we were delighted to offer Lexi a summer placement so she could continue her journey with CMS.

During this time, she made a real contribution to the business, including analysing proposals and client feedback and playing an important role in helping us implement our first formal CRM system.

Lexi has shown just how much value young people can bring to businesses through fresh perspectives, new ideas and confidence with emerging technologies.

She even managed to pass her driving test while working with us!

Thank you, Lexi, for all your hard work and enthusiasm. Everyone at CMS Group wishes you every success with your continued studies and future career.

We have no doubt there are many exciting things ahead for you!

Yesterday, the newly formed Constructing Excellence South West Swindon & Wiltshire Club held its Meet the Team event at the The REME Museum in Lyneham.

It was fantastic to see so many people come along for a morning of networking, conversation and connection with fellow professionals from across the built environment.

The positive turnout and great conversations made it a brilliant first event and we're already looking forward to the next one!

Save the date: 15th October, 5pm at Lydiard Park.

The next networking event will provide another opportunity to meet like-minded professionals, make new connections and help build a strong construction community across Swindon and Wiltshire.

All hands on deck!

The new nursery provision at Staverton Primary School is nearing completion, with everyone pulling together to make sure the space was ready in time for the children to arrive.

From the finishing touches to some last-minute furniture setup, the contractor and design team were happy to lend a hand and support the client in getting everything ready.

It’s fantastic to see the project come together and know that this new space will soon be filled with children learning, playing and growing.

A real team effort from everyone involved!

Yesterday we celebrated 10 amazing years of Grace at CMS Group!

Over the last decade, Grace has become a much-loved part of the CMS team, bringing her knowledge, dedication, humour and personality to the office every day.

Peter says:

A great morning of property networking in Bristol.

On Tuesday, Peter Blake joined Talk Business UK Bristol at The Ivy Collection Clifton Brasserie for a morning of relaxed networking, good food and great conversation.

It was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and connect with others from across the property and built environment sectors.
