Chestnut sleeper’s are a great alternative to softwood or imported Oak. Chestnut is generally locally sourced and is a great although not technically native hard wood but has been around in uk since the Romans, plus it has great longevity. These have had additional oil based treatment applied and are to used for building a timber retaining wall for one of our lovely local customers.
