Are you a passionate person who enjoys a challenge, working outdoors and takes pride in a job well done?
We are a small and friendly team based in Cranleigh. We mainly look after estates, Parish Councils and doing renovations on football and cricket pitches.
The role is very varied but will include, grass cutting with both walk behind and tractor mowers, strimming, weeding, planting, pruning and hedge cutting.
Experience is an advantage but not a requirement as full training will be given.

A huge thank you to Julian Conway of AEM Contractors Ltd for bringing a mobile sawmill to Merrist Wood College last week.

Julian, and karl stevens of Axil Aborists, did a fantastic job of demonstrating the sawmill to our Level 3 second year Arboriculture students and our Level 2 Arboriculture Apprentices, even letting them have a go at the controls!

The session linked directly to our student’s Timber Conversion and Utilisation Unit, and it was brilliant for them to see a professional machine creating a useful product out of windblown timber from the Merrist Wood Estate.

This activity really sparked our learner’s imagination and got them thinking creatively about what can be made from each beautiful and unique piece of timber.
