Another job completed today in Crawley 😍

Today’s customer was in a new build property however the front door installed was wooden, with no glass to allow light into the house and was letting a breeze through into the house due to gaps in the frame 🥶😖

I changed it to an A rated, UPVC woodgrain effect composite front door in Black 🖤 the 3 glass panels allow light to get into the hall of the house and it was finished nicely with a door number sign next to the door on the wall 👌🏽My customers were so happy with their end results and I look forward to helping them with bifold doors in the near future 👏🏽

What is CERTASS?
Certass is a UKAS approved Certification Scheme that checks individual contractors and companies competence against set standards.

Do I need a CERTASS certificate?
All homeowners having replacement windows and door installations fitted after 1st April 2002 are required to have a Building Regulation Compliance Certificate for their completed works.

What’s the difference between CERTASS and FENSA?
There is no difference between the two, except that FENSA has been around little longer and hence is better known but provided your installer can provide you with the certificate from either CERTASS or FENSA on completion, you can be assured either certificate will have same validity.

Do I need a CERTASS certificate to sell my house?
One thing that could make selling your home even more stressful is not having the relevant certificates for your replacement windows. When you're selling a house, there are lots of certifications that your solicitor and buyer will need to see. If you don't have a CERTASS certificate to validate the quality and installation of your new windows and doors, you may have to pay out again to get them accredited.

I always forgot to take the before pictures but this lovely customer had a set of sliding doors here before but wanted to create a more open space, especially in the summer months, to allow more of a flow from the garden into through the house. 👏🏽
