🚧 MEN AT WORK 🚧

A huge Happy Fathers Day to my dad, who somehow keeps finding himself back on site helping me with garden projects despite officially retiring some time ago!

Whether it’s shifting materials, weeding, or bagging up hedge trimmings, he keeps me entertained with stories (that I’ve heard before 😂), fast show quotes and jokes! Always there to lend a hand when needed & I’m very grateful for his support.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads, grandads and father figures out there. Enjoy your day ⚠️

💎 Front Garden Transformation Complete 💎

What a pleasure it has been transforming this front garden in .

As with any successful project, it isn’t just about the finished result - it’s about the people, products, plants & teamwork that make it possible.

A huge thank you to Matt & the team Milton Garden Products for suppling the materials and pulling out all the stops to ensure everything was delivered on time. The White Quartz porcelain paving, Black Granite edging blocks & Black Ice decorative gravel have worked beautifully together and really helped bring the design to life.

I would also like to thank Carbutts Turf Ltd for supplying superb quality turf, which has completed the garden perfectly.

The planting scheme was sourced from a number of local nurseries, where I found some beautiful Hydrangea Paniculatas, Euonymus ‘Green Spire’ for hedging & final touches including ferns, Salvia ‘Lake Como’, begonias & a stunning hanging basket - all carefully selected to complement the overall design.

A special thank you to Marty for his hard work, knowledge & attention to detail throughout the project. And of course, to my dad, who is supposedly retired but just loves getting stuck in when there’s a garden to build!

When designing this garden, I took inspiration from the work of renowned garden designer John Brookes. For me, successful garden design is all@about balance, proportion and careful material selection. Every element was chosen together to create a welcoming, elegant entrance to the property.

In all honesty, I think the finished garden has exceeded even my original vision.

I’d love to hear what you think of the transformation?

Day 4 of the front garden project 🌿

Today I prepared the ground for turfing, collected the turf from Brereton, and professionally laid it. I also installed the Black Ice gravel, which perfectly complements the black granite blocks.

We’re now into the final stage of the project: planting an evergreen hedge and adding feature planting around the front window.

It’s all coming together nicely, and I can’t wait to show you all the finished result.

A productive couple of days at our garden project in , despite some challenging weather conditions! ⛈️

The White Quartz porcelain paving is now complete & the Black Granite blocks, which frame the new pathway beautifully is nearly finished.

As with any quality landscaping project, the preparation work carried out on day one, laid the foundations for the progress.

We’ve had some amazing comments already & now really looking forward to the soft landscaping elements, including new turf, evergreen hedging & planting.

Day 1 at our front garden project in

We removed the existing lawn, old patio slabs & two old tree stumps to create a blank canvas ready for the next phase.

Ground prepared, with MOT being installed, levels and lines being prepared ahead of the start of the hard landscaping works.

Good results always start with proper grounds preparation.

Follow along to see the transformation unfold.

Excited to share the fabulous materials we will be using on this project.

A few years ago, this garden in Weston was a completely blank new-build canvas - just fencing, walls & heavy clay & builders rubble!

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of designing, building and continuing to maintain the garden as it has established and matured over time.

The aim from the beginning was to create a softer more natural and wildlife-friendly space, with planting chosen to attract birds, bees and butterflies throughout the seasons 🐝🦋

On my latest visit, I added further planting to build on the existing scheme - including climbing plants to soften the brick wall, along with adding perennial colour to help provide interest and impact throughout the Spring and Summer.

It’s always rewarding seeing gardens evolve like this over time, especially when the planting begins to knit together naturally and the space starts to feel established and now full of life

🌱Nothing finishes a property off quite like a freshly striped lawn 🌱

The estate agent captured this fantastic aerial shot recently and it really shows how much impact well-maintained lawn care can make to the overall presentation of a property.

Regular mowing here, careful edging and attention to detail makes all the difference - especially when properties are being prepared for viewings and photo presentation.
