WATERING YOUR RADISHES: Keep your soil evenly moist for a quality crop. Make sure you water deeply and never allow the pots to dry out completely, especially in the first few weeks. Keep in mind that having moist soil doesn’t mean to overwater. Soggy soil and overly wet conditions are as avoidable as drought.
Water your radish plants regularly. An irregular and infrequent watering technique like keeping the plants dry for some time and then pouring water to create really moist conditions can lead to cracking of the roots.

Here at Green Fox Growers we were very excited to receive a copy of Tim Spector’s new book - “ Food for Life - The New Science of Eating Well “. In his book he sets out a new and comprehensive guide to what we should all know about food today, and how we should eat for our health and the health of our planet.

And a couple of little tips we have already picked up from Tim - purple coloured carrots have 9 times the polyphenol content of orange carrots and carrot tops taste a bit like parsley and make an excellent herb to add to soup or fish dishes, adding phytonutrients and fibre. So buy your box, plant your seeds and get growing!Spector
