It’s been a while since I posted anything on here.
It’s also been our idea to have a pew from inside the church mounted outside as a reminder of the buildings past as a church - so today we finally made that happen.

Such a lovely anonymous note on my son’s car this morning from one of our neighbours.
We have neighbours ring our doorbell to as US to move our cars so they can park but why the hell should we ? My vehicles plus my sons ( who both WORK for a living ) are all road legal plus we have the largest kerbside presence to our property on both Lydia Street & Wesley Street. I had to have plannning permission to erect cctv on ky property so it’s only right that when my son returns from work he wants to park his car within range of our cctv & outside our address.
DONT ASK US AGAIN AS IVE NOW HAD ENOUGH OF THIS CAR PARKING WARS.
we all live here & I have been accommodating for too long now.

It’s been a while since I last posted anything about what’s happening with our property conversion.
We have started a very exciting job in the last few days. Free Electricity ⚡️
Two supplies = 2 sets of panels. The first of which is only three and John & I managed to get them in place & generating power for the first time this evening.
Final connections & paperwork still to complete but Michelle & I are pleased with this progress

Michelle and I have finally worked out a solution for the arched door onto our roof terrace.
Externally mounted French doors that will be blended by cladding the surrounding area. This will allow us to retain the arched opening that was once a window on the inside

The updates have been infrequent lately due to other commitments. Some of the jobs are now small impacts on the final finishes but here is one we looking forward to be revealing in the next couple of weeks
The first pair of front doors have been dipped & stripped. Sadly multiple door locks & security devices means they will be repainted instead of varnish.
We are really looking forward to a new tasteful reconstruction of the original doors in a contemporary colour to reflect our home.
Base coat primer now on.

Finally made a start on the porch after recently repairing the roof. Heat stripping these doors may take a while. Perhaps I’d be better off removing them and taking them to be dipped & stripped.
Anyone recommend anyone??

Todays task ( as I’ve been watching the weather forecast) is to recover our porch roof with a new one piece rubber membrane so that’s the last of our Summer Rose roofs water tight.
Maybe soon we can finally use our front door 🤪

Michelle & I have been working upstairs for a few months now. This week we had not one but 2 big additions to what will be our home.
Wheelchair lift arrived and fitted over 2 days plus our staircase arrived this week too. We can finally retire the ladders from this evening as we have stairs we can now use.
