Great little renovation & remodelling project within the St Andrews Conservation Area on this top floor flat.

With input from the very talented Magda Interiors & SJ Renovations, we re-modelled the tired and impractical layout through some adjustments to the interior walls (structural and non-structural alterations included).

Great to see this one through to completion. Sincere thanks to our clients, and all involved in the project.

We’re wrapping up for the year (quite literally, in some cases) and we’d like to take a moment to mention our sincere thanks to all of our wonderful clients, contractors and consultants who we’ve had the pleasure of working with this year. It’s been a very busy year in 2024, and we’re extremely grateful for this.

Level 2 unlocked.....

We are thrilled to mark the 2nd anniversary of our business today! We could never have reached this milestone without the support and trust of our clients, contractors and everyone else who has supported the business since the start. It is a privilege to be in this position, and for this, we are truly grateful and we thank you!

Similar to last year, we’re looking to giveaway a two separate £30 vouchers for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The vouchers can be used for any show or merchandise at the festival shop. If you’d like to claim one then please like this post and type in your name, or the name of another who you’d like to nominate. You don’t have to share the post to enter however this can help us grow our reach on the socials, but feel free to share if you’d like.

It’s been a productive year so we’ve been a bit quiet on the socials recently, but hugely grateful to be busy and working on a variety of projects.

After a few days off at the start of the week, we’ve caught up with a couple of projects on site as part of our inspections service. While much of our input is concentrated on the feasibility, design and detailing stages, we remain part of the project during the construction stage, keeping record of construction progress, communicating with the local authorities and acting as a point of contact for the Client and Principal Contractor.

We’ve checked off the construction photos for this stability frame at a project in Fife today, and look forward to seeing the superstructure stages follow in the coming weeks!

On our return from the break (which now seems so long ago!) we visited one of our clients to deliver the Certificate of Completion for a renovation project, in Dunfermline.

As part of the works, the client was keen to retain the original hand-crafted kitchen units by Murray & Murray – still in excellent condition after 30 years of service.

We’d like to thank our clients for the opportunity to work on this project, and to Kenny and the team at CDJ Watson for their superb efforts in realising the vision.

We’re about to finish up before closing down for a few days over the festive break. We’ve been on-site to review one of our ongoing conversion projects out on the West Coast this week. In collaboration with the project engineer, we specified Telebeam’s load-sharing system as a solution in creating a new, structural attic floor.

The existing lightweight roof trusses on site are quite common in newer build homes however this particular system is easily slotted into place, resulting in time is saved on site work, and a cost saving to the client.

Special mention to the Principal Contractor for their great efforts in installing this system to spec. We look forward to seeing this one at completion stage.
