Vacancy for a Fleet Manager/ Planner/ Transport Manager

Swan Transport Ltd is a small haulier based in Crowborough, East Sussex, mainly focused on timber deliveries with some General Domestic and European haulage. Currently operating 4 Tractor units with associated trailers.

Swan Transport requires a practical candidate who is capable of operating and maintaining its fleet to its current high standards. Suitable candidates should have a HGV Class 1 License. A transport managers CPC qualification would be beneficial but not essential. Admin and other training can be given. Basic computer skills required.

Role Duties include (Will vary depending on experience level):
Planning weekly transport operations in conjunction with customers
Maintaining Driver Hour Compliance
Ensuring Vehicle Maintenance Compliance
Minor Vehicle Repairs
Carrying out Weekly Condition Audits/Inspections
Vehicle Washing
Driving Vehicles to Inspections and MOT tests.
Other duties associated with Road Haulage, including some deliveries.

A Good Salary will be offered based on qualifications and experience, and suitability for the role.

Swan Timber are looking for European Collection /Local Delivery Class 1 Driver

We are in the process of establishing a European Haulage Operation concentrating on collecting timber from our suppliers.

Previous European experience essential. Operations are based in Crowborough, East Sussex. There will be some nights out possibility of 2-3 per week.
