It's been quite a while since I posted a Tipsy Gardening post and you may be wondering what has happened! Quite a lot, really. Life's rollercoaster continued it's mad journey and we moved back to the UK (Cumbria) 2 years ago. The ducks and hens went to a new home, where there was already a little family of ducks and hens and Ted the donkey went to a sanctuary because we just couldn't bring them all with us. We still have Bob the dog to keep us active and a small garden to look after. It was a difficult decision to make to leave Ireland but it was the right one and we are very happy and settled. Keep on gardening everyone, stay safe and enjoy the sunshine ❤

Onion harvest! Gotta dry the green leaves so they turn brown in the sunshine. Then we can plait them with rope, hang them up in the shed and use them all winter. So full of flavour, they make your eyes weep with joy!

These lettuce seeds from Irish Seed Savers in Clare always do well - Ear of the Devil - because that's the shape of the leaves. You let the plant stay in the ground all season and just keep taking the leaves off it...couldn't be easier. Because the weather is so wet, we are starting them off in the kitchen and hoping that by the time they are big and strong, it might have stopped raining and warmed up a bit! Fingers crossed :-)
