Driveway Completely Transformed in newtongrange

Another quality project completed by Jubilant Paving & Landscaping 👌

Old concrete garage ramp broken out and existing garden excavated to 250mm, with all waste fully removed from site.

The new driveway was installed on a solid 150mm Type 1 sub-base for a long-lasting finish. Concrete edgers fitted along the hedge side, with KL charcoal edging used to create a new step and matching planter areas on both sides, finished off with an Indian sandstone inlay.

Main driveway laid using Tobermore Shannon Duo blocks in Heather, with a charcoal duo border. KS charcoal edging was also used to form the stunning serpentine curve feature.

Another small patio transformation completed 🔥

Our client Alan sent over an AI-inspired design (first picture), and we brought it to life… with a much better finish in our opinion 👀
What do you think?

This one might be a small area, but it still got the full treatment:
Over a tonne of waste removed to start with 💪
Proper sub-base installed using Type 1, fully spread and compacted for a solid, long-lasting finish.

Instead of the standard block shown in the AI design, we upgraded to Shannon Duo blocks in charcoal — a much cleaner, more modern look 👌

Indian sandstone laid on a full bed of mortar (no shortcuts), then finished off with slate grey Geofix pointing for that crisp final touch 👌

Our small job week is done back to full makeovers next week

Another job completed for one of our returning customers, Michelle 👌

Michelle originally got in touch for a driveway pressure clean, but while we were there she decided to freshen up the back garden too — and what a difference it’s made.

We actually completed this garden 7 years ago, and it’s still standing strong today — a proper testament to the quality and durability of our work.

✅ Driveway fully pressure cleaned and re-sanded
✅ Back garden deep cleaned
✅ Patio extended by 12m²
✅ All paving repointed after installation
✅ Loose slabs lifted and relaid after years of weathering

The new extension at the bottom of the garden has really opened the space up and ties everything together perfectly.

This week’s turned into a run of smaller jobs after a last-minute change in the diary.

We actually met this lovely couple in B&Q while they were about to purchase black porcelain tiles to install themselves. After a quick chat, I explained the correct way porcelain should be laid—something that’s often overlooked. You’d think places selling these products would have clearer guidance (like the need for slurry primer, full bed, etc.), but that’s not always the case.

We didn’t even have to go see the job, all priced over pictures of the area and the size sent over the quote and got it booked in.

Today we completed this small patio using Porcelain Terralis Dallas in anthracite. Installed properly with a full Type 1 sub-base, each tile slurry primed, and laid on a full bed of mortar.

For a small area, it’s come up really smart—simple, clean, and built to last.👌
