Had to pull up all my onions and garlic, had rust and what may be white rot on some. Put them out to dry ready to plait the good ones and process the not so good by pickling/ dehydrating.
Still love my greenhouse. Got watermelon, luffa, cantaloupe and cucumbers on one side and tomatoes and peppers the other. Put In a solar powered self watering system connected to a water butt.

Got 2 days down the plot, 5 hours each day. Got a lot done but still not enough.
Lots of weeds growing which had to be pulled.
Got my brassicas in, the sweet potatoes in, sweetcorn in, pumpkins in. Greenhouse watering system in. Poles up, runner beans in.
Phew, tired out now.

Only 1 luffa seed germinated so far, fingers crossed for the rest.

Loving my Christmas presents. The hori knife made planting the garlic so easy. The cordless tiller was a lot bigger and heavier than I expected it to be but did a good job on the raised beds. Back down there tomorrow, weather permitting.

Picked the last tomatoes in the greenhouse, found a hidden chilli pepper. The papers are still growing in there so I’ve left them rather than pull them out.
Picked the last carrots 🤣 one decided to pull a 90 degree on me.

I can’t believe I’ve not updated since May. It’s not been very good down here, no rain so I’ve had to water often. Finished off a couple of beds and paths. Had so much to do at home so little time for the plot.
Managed to get a few carrots but the tomato plants in one bed caught blight over this week, the other bed is fine. Hopefully I can ripen them indoors.

Oh what a great bank holiday 🤣 so glad I got the greenhouse built. Need to get some guttering so I don’t waste the rainwater.
I have, however, found a leak.

Still busy with the greenhouse. I built a planter for the cucumbers, set up the bench ready for any pots and fixed the potting table.
I am very happy with how it’s turned out.
Still need to fix a door thought.
