Friends of St Peter's

Friends of St Peter's As with any ongoing maintenance, preservation or restoration project, it all requires funding. Membership is open to all.

The aim of Friends of St Peter's is to raise money towards the cost of repair, maintenance, and improvement of the fabric of the Church of St Peter’s, Stoke Fleming, Dartmouth, Devon. And this is where you can help to make a difference, by joining the Friends of St Peter’s, Stoke Fleming. You don’t have to be a worshipper to perceive the gap which would be left if the church was allowed to fall in

to disrepair. The Friends’ annual subscription goes towards the upkeep of the church, so joining the Friends means joining all those who want to preserve the essential elements which make Stoke Fleming such a complete village, as well as enabling you to take advantage of any activities the Friends plan during the year.

Thanks to a generous contribution from Elizabeth Cutter, FoSP has now provided a seat in the churchyard as part of the Living Churchyard project. This is in memory of Elizabeth's in-laws who lived in Stoke Fleming. Her mother-in-law Connie attended St Peter’s church. The new bench is alongside the path to the Coffin Walk.

A fabulous evening of entertainment with a medley of songs from the talented Dartmouth Rock Choir together with a bar, light refreshments and a raffle of generously donated prizes from local businesses, all in support of Stoke Fleming Village Hall and St.Peters Church.
