I was shown this simple little hack recently and I don't know why I never thought of it before.
Any time we are filling pots and planters we put a layer of gravel at the bottom to help drainage, but sometimes the gravel can fall out of it's too small or block the drainage holes if it's too big.
A simple solution is put a sponge or scouring pad over the hole, it will keep the gravel in and let water soak away. Simple.
