Bofur's hammer.

Commissioned by a customer from USA

This hammer is heavily inspired by the dwarf Bofur from the Hobbit movies.

The hammer head is larch, and is all one piece cut and carved to look dwarven.

The shaft is douglas fur wrapped in leather cord. Treated in a beeswax stain for the colour, and mid sheen finish.
This hammer is a special one in design. The shaft unscrews from the head to enable easy carrying and postage. 🤘⚒️

One of a kind design which I may revisit in the future.

A lamp made from locally felled Larch (Melmore gardens) and re-purposed electricals from a Lamp.

The Larch is less than 3mm thick allowing the warmth of the light inside to filter through the timber.

I was able to help out Bradley Tree Services yesterday in Cregan, this larch tree stood in melmore for a few generations but sadly had to come down for the safety of the home owner.

In the coming months I'll be able to use a few of the pieces of larch to create something beautiful.
