Save the Date ~ Spring Plant Fair ~ 4th May

We are busy potting plants in preparation for our Spring Plant Fair on Monday 4th May.
Hundreds of rare and interesting perennials, including Asarum, Campanula, Centaurea, Epimedium, Geranium, Nepeta, Papaver, Primula, Polygonatum, Sedum etc
Also some choice shrubs, including Buddleja, Callicarpa, Correa, Ilex, Lonicera, Syringa and a few saplings from our tree collection.

Snowdrop Day - Cancelled
Regrettably, we have decided to cancel our Snowdrop Day, as our car parking field isn't usable, due to the flooding over the past few weeks. We have been trying to rectify the situation, but with more rain in the forecast, we don't feel that we can use the site.
Our first event of 2026 will therfore be the Spring Plant Fair on Monday 4th May (Early May bank holiday) - Free Entry.

We have been busy potting and propagating again, in preparation for the May Open Day. Lots of interesting bits including native Sedums and Junipers, Chestnut-leaved Holly, Double-flowered Gorse and the beautiful Ligusticum lucidum (that we might have to keep for the garden, as you can never have enough!).

Spiranthes 'Chadd's Ford' are flowering in the shade tunnel. This hardy North American orchid, flowers in Autumn and provides some seasonal colour to our shade beds.
We expect to have some surplus stock available during our Summer Open Days next year.
