Fun fact: Dugald’s band in 2000’s- The Storm Petrels drew comparisons to Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Creedence Clearwater Revival with their brand of country-tinged harmonious guitar rock.
Their talent caught the attention of John Wooler, a Dundonian five-time Grammy award-winning producer. He flew the Angus lads to California to lay down their debut album, Lucky.
They shared the stage with the likes of Snow Patrol and Feeder. And the band performed at venues from Glasgow’s legendary King Tut’s to festivals including the city’s Gig on the Green and Free at the Dee in Aberdeen.
The Storm Petrels have released a vinyl of their album mastered at Abbey Road in 2005 in a fundraising tribute to former guitarist Dougie Gilmartin.
