Electronic Security System Installation & Maintenance Engineer
£14.40 - £17.30 PH (Rate dependent on qualifications / skill level)
Up to 36 days annual leave including Bank Holidays (30 in year 1, increasing by 1 day per year)
On the road / site based (Predominantly in the South Yorkshire and surrounding areas)
• Typically working 8:30 – 17:30 on site (Variable depending on job / site requirements).
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends may be required to include over-night stays.
• Permanent role.

Lynx Electrical and Security Ltd is an established and expanding installation and maintenance company looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Security Engineer.
We specialise in medium to large, high value electronic security systems such as Intruder alarms, fixed and temporary CCTV systems, Cloud based and on-site Access Control systems, multi-site video and audio entry systems and gate and barrier automation. Our systems vary from basic domestic to large scale multi-site networked systems.

With this in mind we are happy to consider applicants with transferrable skills from other electrotechnical sectors who have sufficient installation experience.

The Role:
• Working face to face with clients or their representatives, managing customer relationships and ensuring a consistent high level of customer service.
• Performing on-site installation and maintenance in line with manufacturer and industry standards, which are planned and organised to ensure installations are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
• Fault finding, assessing and identifying vulnerabilities in existing systems.
• Commissioning, to include all relevant paperwork, readings etc.
• Provide technical support to customers as needed.
• Ensuring all documentation and timesheets are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the production of quotes and survey reports when needed.
Requirements, Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience within an electrotechnical role.
• Proficient in using power tools and equipment for installation and maintenance purposes.
• Excellent inter-personal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a clean, tidy, and professional work ethic at all times.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand building plans and technical drawings.
• Full UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
• The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure Services check.
Desirables
• Good working knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, Intruder etc.
• Good working knowledge of networking and IP systems.
• Understanding of SSAIB standards.
• IPAF / PASMA license holder.
• CSCS / ECS card holder.
