We currently have a waiting list of around 2/3 weeks with all the team working away next week in Cambridge so we are not able to pop round and replace the odd panel that has blown out in the wind I'm afraid.

Just a quick thank you to say for using our services at this most difficult time of year. We've just heard the sad news another long term company has decided to close down. Its always slow in January and February but on top of that the recent pay increases and new laws have cost small business more to run.
Profits are already tight and now we are all struggling to stay afloat. So thank you to each and everyone one of you that gave us work whether big or small it means a lot to us. No work no pay! We done some simple panels replacements due to the wind, full install of hit and miss arch top with double gravel boards.
A run of post and rail with mesh to keep a new puppy safe. A run of single sided hit and miss at Gringley after it collapsed. Some contemporary slatted panels, and featheredge with trellis top full install for a lovely returning customer at Maltby.
Then luckily we have had some commercial customers who needed palisade gates, full V-mesh install an some cladding of an old garage. All this has just about kept our heads above water! Although the team have obviously been completely soaked all month. Sorry guys.
Let's hope February picks up a little both work wise and the horrible bloody weather.
I guess the hose pipe ban is over!

Well that's Christmas already done and dusted no idea where the time goes. But it sure seems the older we get the quicker it flies by!
We hope you all had a lovely break and some time with your families one loved ones.
So we only a hour to go and both myself and Stefan full of cold and coughing we shall sign off this year feeing thankful for your wonderful reviews and recommendations and your invaluable support.

Hi all. Stefan and I are currently sat on a train heading for the airport. Hopefully a nice week in Lanzarote with none of the usual drama we often encounter! Covid twice! Flooded. Over booked flight, kidney infection 😫 I mean come on just one week isn't much to ask! Lol.

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance.

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

Well another year done and dusted. It's been a very busy one as usually and we have met some wonderful customers.
Unfortunate both Stefan and I have been ill with the dreaded bug over Christmas but on the mend now! Plus I had an RTA as someone crashed into me on the roundabout just before Xmas! 😔
It's not all bad though...My youngest daughter graduated from Swansea University in July with a 2.1 in marine biology and my eldest daughter is expecting her first child on 14th feb, Valentine baby....so we are now getting excited about that ❤️

Thank you so much to all those lovely customers who left us a review, those who passed on our details and recommendations from friends and families They mean the world to both us and new customers.

We re-open on 6th January after our annual 2 week Xmas holidays. Fingers crossed not many of you will get caught in this New Years storm, remember pin your gates open to prevent damage, especially double gates! We've had a busy first half to the year a fair few contractors jobs and business sites. DMBC ten sites across the borough, Manton at Worksop, Thorne baths, sherwood dog kennels, Cemetary at Rotherham, Amazon site, Euro pool along with some schools to name a few. Thank you for supporting this small business and your repeat business.
