A selection of some of the projects that we have been involved in over the last 12 months or so!
Our business progression has been remarkably positive & a huge huge thank you to my team who are incredibly hardworking. They are the back bone of S.H. Tree Care. Our position wouldn't be the same without your efforts, to which I am always grateful for.
I really do pinch myself most mornings!

Over the next 12 months we are aiming to secure a solid base where we can run our business from, which will give us the opportunity to really diversify further & more importantly provide job roles for the next generation of local Arborists, supporting the rural community.

A big thank you also to all of our past, present & future customers for all your support, your positive feedback & continued recommendations are always greatly appreciated!

We will be shut down from the 8th - 25th of August 2025 allowing me time to marry the love of my life, who I cannot thank enough for her continued support!

Feeling incredibly humbled at present & the future is exciting with some great projects pending!

One of our jobs this week was for C.G. Fry & Son and we were asked to reduce these two mature Ash trees & one mature Cherry. All three trees were heavily congested & really needed some attention. With Ash die back really taking hold throughout the Bride Valley it was great to see two mature Ash's in good health. With luck we have helped prolong the life of them. Being late in the season to reduce Cherry trees we were sympathetic, general Crown clean throughout & minimising pruning cut sizes. Myself & the clients were really pleased with the end result.

Small tree surgery business looking for a freelance / self employed Groundsman. Mainly domestic tree works with occasional commercial works also. Potential regular work for the right person. Must have a positive thinking attitude, happy to work hard, be reliable & be competent using a chainsaw. General tree surgery experience would be preferred & an understanding of lowering / rigging would be an advantage. Must have chainsaw maintenance & cross cutting (cs31 & 32), aerial rescue (cs38) & own PPE. (helmet & trousers).

Negotiable day rate based on experience.

Chainsaws & all other equipment required for specific works will be provided.

MUST have own transport & be able to get to Puncknowle Dorchester Dorset.

Working here over the years has always been a pleasure. Crowns raised on this Sugar Maple avenue, first pruning since they were planted. Livestock took a shining to them at an early age & nearly ring barked the majority, which have recovered well considering. Some have sadly died so complete removals were necessary which will be replanted in the winter months. All beit well with the response to pruning, we'll aim to thin and reshape accordingly in the next couple of years.

Crown clean on 4 Macrocarpa trees for the manor house westbexington whom asked to try and prolong the life of these iconic trees to the hotel which have taken a bit of a battering over the past few years. Removing all the dead wood, split limbs & a general thin to enable the wind to pass through rather than against them.

During the last storms this Ash tree with multiple fungus' present failed several times which caused future concerns for our clients. Being a TPO tree, permission was granted from the council to reduce the remaining stem back to the main trunk, eliminating any further failures.

A few weeks ago we started tree works on an 8 acre site which inhabits various mature species. Sadly this this Beech tree had failed in the past due to Ganoderma taking hold. Being in an active area of the property the safest option was to dismantle to ground level.
