This mature horse chestnut showed extensive cavities, Dryad’s Saddle fungus, and recent limb failure above high-risk targets. In agreement with the local Tree Officer, a substantial crown reduction was carried out to reduce risk while retaining the tree. We will be monitoring this over the next 5 years

In collaboration with the tree officer, we completed a significant lateral reduction, 3-4 metres off the top and 30% crown thin to reduce stress with ongoing monitoring planned over the next five years.

Multi stemmed sycamore removed at a school this week after half its root system had been excavated for a road, the tree was in major decline through the summer and being in close proximity to a rugby pitch we had no other option but to fell. All the timber was stacked in the woodland for habitat and the wood chip was spread around around the schools green waste site to try and keep the mud to a minimum during the wet months ahead of us
