✨ Captivated by tonight’s secret but stunning display of the northern lights! The sky was painted in vibrant shades- starting with lime and magenta turning to fushisa an hour later. Something funky had happened to the moon south west unless it was the solar flare. Anyone know? It looked like a glowing orange segment. Nature’s artistry never ceases to amaze!

Campsite washrooms like you’ve never seen before ! Here we’ve supplied linoleum to face doors with an ash edging fitted with gold handles from , flush access panels under basins with neat shadow gaps, ash benching on pink support brackets from , and marble tops from all supplied as a kit for the talented to install. The furniture linoleum is a perfect match for the wall colour from , the lino is super hard wearing and provides acoustic absorption too. The marble adds an extra wow and that feeling you’re being properly pampered. We’d expect nothing else from .

We’ve fixed the problem with bunks!! Everyone loves a bunk room at the beginning of the evening but if mummy and daddy are on the bottom bunk then everyone will wake up on the bottom bunk!! That’s why we’ve designed a superking size base. You can order this bunk from in any size. We even designed it with an optional built in shelf at the rear too for because there wasn’t enough space for a bedside table. Solid oak with a clear lacquered finish it’s built to last and comes as a kit. Thank you to for the professional photos ♥️

We’ve made a blissful bunk for the Swiss apartment, Sonnenhof Juliet. Claire designed an oak bunk bed to tie in with the other lovely beds in the apartment made by Loaf. The base is built to suit a super king and with built in shelves to go over the head board rails it should make for a neat solution to sleep three. We will be shortening the uprights after abandoning the chalet shaped canopy originally planned. Space really is at s premium in Switzerland and that includes the head height! We’re looking forward to testing it out for real in its new home.

We’re in love with this new range using veneers with a bandsaw texture running horizontally through the panels available in a range of hardwoods, maple(seen here), ash, and oak. We’ve used varying panel widths, (as the come) which adds further to the texture because you read the vertical joins between the panels, the grain of the wood and the horizontal bandsaw grooves. It was the perfect choice for this Swiss apartment in the alps to echo the rustic charm from the original granaries and chalet buildings close by. We’ve used the same material in the bathrooms as paneling too. The repetition of materials really helps to create a cohesive design. By applying the same recipes, the same mix of materials and ideas keep popping up in each room which makes for a calm interior even if there’s plenty to look at.

One window seat combined with drawers and a slimline cupboard almost complete. The textured maple panels run through vertically with very minimal details; recessed holes for handles and a shadow gap at the base allow the timber to do all the talking, although Claire has mentioned something about a gingham buttoned seat pad!

The view framed by a new day bed The master bedroom was a long thin room with the best view so we’ve made a fitted daybed with drawers under, shelving to the side and a cupboard for a child’s nightlight and place to put their things. The daybed is built in do shortens the room improving its proportions. It will take a 2m long single mattress so a child can share the room with their own special place or you can nest there with a good book connected to your own mountain view. Lovely soft furnishings and finishing layers to come.

The bones of the bedroom window seats are well underway, a wardrobe and 9 drawers neatly designed in. There’s even a little cubby hole with a plug, mirror and light so there’s somewhere comfortable to sit and blow dry your hair. I wasn’t too keen on the shape of the windows, but their shape has really helped to pack allot of storage in one place, which will maximise use of space.

The kitchen cabinet together before we took apart for spraying the back. We’ve been tasked with adding a few handmade touches to a Swiss fitted kitchen so that it looks less like a fitted kitchen. This cabinet will sit on the far right, the scalloped splash back will centre over the hob with a peg rail over to hang a few handmade utilitarian items, chopping boards and the like. The rear of the bar will be lined with our maple engineered panels. Due to be installed over the next few weeks we will keep you posted.

Adding soul to a modern apartment by leaning into unexpected old-world details that make it feel appropriately charming. Today we are doing just that. Claire’s designed our simple cabinetry to reflect some old-Swiss charm. The antique sofa located the other side of the chimney breast will also bring with it a good helping of soul.

Whoop whoop 🙌 We’ve finished the storage wall for the master bedroom of Sonnenhof Juliet. It’s made from engineered maple veneered boards, a conscious contrast to the oak floor. The maple will keep popping up all over the apartment with our various fitted items which will provide softness, warmth and unity.
