Call out today to an elderly couple who had found this terrible pipework leaking. Plastic pipework and fittings all removed and repiped in copper. Radiator is in a poor state but at least there’s no more leaks now.

Gas safety check and service today on this open flued LPG water heater which failed its emissions tests and was producing high levels of carbon monoxide. Engineer removed the heat exchanger and carried out a full strip down clean. Water heater now burning safely and efficiently again.

Emergency call out over the weekend to a split copper pipe on a secondary hot water return. We managed to get there within 20 minutes of the call to repipe and we replaced the water damaged hot water Honeywell zone valve.
Luckily this unvented hot water cylinder is in a basement with a soak away which is lucky as this could have caused some serious damage.

Emergency call out today where the hot water outlet on the top of an unvented cylinder was leaking so badly the cellar felt like a sauna and all the electrics were tripping. Leak repaired and after pointing out a few other issues to the customer they asked me to service the boiler whilst onsite.
Straight away found that the 24v link on the printed circuit board had not been removed when the boiler was installed 7 years ago and never been found during its yearly servicing. This means the 28mm unlagged flow and return on this boiler which ran down into an unheated cellar where the bypass is fitted has been kept at around 74 degrees ever since it was installed regardless of any external demands from the system. Dread to think how much this simple mistake has cost this customer in wasted gas 🙈.

Nearly finished on one of our largest projects to date. Old floor standing boiler and vented cylinder removed in this large property with multiple occupants. The property had poor mains pressure and flow rate so new 25mm MDPE cold main laid, 330ltr Salamander Accumulator boost tank and 400ltr Gledhill unvented cylinder installed. This new set up now provides much better hot and cold water throughout the whole property and with the boost tank pressure and flow is not affected when multiple outlets are running.

35kw Vaillant ecotec plus heat only boiler relocated to an old WC along with all necessary filters and converted to a sealed system.

Will be back in a few weeks to add all the pipe lagging and some final snagging.
