As we are on the cusp of Spring and teased with warmer, longer days, you may start to think about plans for the garden, to name but a few of our perennials, Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’ is a beautiful, hardy plant that is sure to give any garden a pop of pastel colour.

Whilst not only looking attractive it also serves a worthwhile purpose by benefitting passing pollinators such as bees and butterflies, with its long lasting flowers it makes for a true garden essential.

Its botanical name is Scabiosa 'Butterfly Blue and common name, Scabious, producing an abundance of purple-blue flowers from July to September.

As the name suggests, Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’ is highly attractive to butterflies and bees, ideally grown in full sun and well drained soil, growing up to 40cm height and spread 40cm.
