Another day another apple tree. Another old tree which I am hoping to salvage back to its former glory over the next few years.

Take a look at this - first picture of the inside of the limb I removed, suspect it’s been caused by years of crossing over resulting in damage to the limb and an overcrowded crown. The second picture shows the cross over after I’d started to take some of the weight out before removing the limb. The third picture shows the healthiest limb - look how indented it is from the years of growth!
