Business as usual for team HB in storm Chandra ☔️

We’ve had an exceptionally busy 2025, it just flew by with a variety of jobs. Keep an eye on the page over the upcoming months for before and after pictures 📸

2026 has lots of big projects on the horizon and we’ve started the year working on a double storey extension, loft conversion and full re roof to create more space in the family home 🏡

Happy New Year from the HB Team!

We started back on Monday, not the start we were expecting with the snow and cold weather but nevertheless, business is back underway.

We were so pleased to be able to get the roof on the current extension we are working on before Christmas which means we are able to continue work despite the weather.

Our scaffolders came out on Monday to take down the existing scaffolding so the freezing weather hasn’t stopped us tradesmen!

Today we headed out to an emergency job for a local business who had a burst water pipe due to the freezing conditions 🥶

With water flowing down the car park, it was a hazard for the people in the building, especially with the risk of freezing temperatures which could have turned the car park in to an ice rink.

The cold weather seems to have been causing havoc for many people and we were pleased we could help out and get it under control.

A simple adaptation to a property can make a huge difference.

We were contacted by the daughter of this customer as the steps at her Mums house had become dangerous and they needed replacing. We discussed what she required to make them safe and easy for her. By turning the angle of the steps it was easier for her to get in and out of the house, creating a better access. The customer is now just awaiting balustrades to complete the project.

This was a project we completed last year - as you can see from the after pictures the finished product is beautiful 🏡

We completed a rear extension, garage conversion, complete internal renovation and new roof. We consulted with our customers about exactly what they wanted, how they wanted the space to work and what finishing touches they wanted 🗣️

It was a pleasure to work for the lovely couple who owned this house and we hope they are enjoying the new space created - perfect for a drink in the sun 🥂🍻

Looking to make more space in your house? A popular choice with customers is to build over an existing garage. This allows you to create an extra bedroom with sometimes even space for an en suite which can be beneficial with growing families.

In this project we brought the garage forwards, creating a larger space for us to work on above. We finished with a nice canopy over the garage which helped tie the extension in with the existing grey on the front of the house.

Here is one of our recent garage conversions - before, during and after.

The customer wanted to increase the size of the kitchen in comparison to the house so we knocked through in to the existing garage, really opening up the space to create not only a kitchen as before but a kitchen diner.

The job included repositioning the gas and electric meter, knocking through the main wall of the house and inserting structural steelwork for support.

We fitted everything, right up to the kitchen itself and worktops. What a great outcome and space for our customer 🙂

Construction underway on our next project. A double storey rear extension, looking to add more space in the family home 🏡

We are creating a large kitchen diner, extra bedroom, bathroom and downstairs toilet. We will be reconfiguring the whole upstairs layout to make the most of the space 🧑‍🍳🛏️🛁🚾

With the recent bad weather we’ve had an influx of roof repairs and new roof enquiries ☔️

Here is one we completed last week and it’s made a huge difference to the house. We converted a glass conservatory roof to a fibre glass roof making the house a lot more insulated and water tight.

Also included in the pictures is an extension we completed last year. We extended forwards and built a complex roof, including replacing the existing roof. We love doing intricate designs so this was great to work on.
