Called out to a job where the customer was having pressure loss issues found to be a deflated expansion vessel and leaking prv. What was found when removing the out casing was a lot more serious and caught just in time. As you can see from the photos the burner seal had completely burnt through and had started to scorch the inner case. Luckily a full strip down service was all it needed in the end with a few replacement parts. Always get your boilers and gas appliances checked regularly by a gas safe registered engineer.
