CRACKING SKIRTINGS & DOOR FRAMES 🫣

Most people will think run some caulk around and paint and it'll be ok....but it wont, within a month or so it'll come back!!
Caulks to be used just as a fine/hair line sealer on frames & skirtings *IF THE WOODWORKS TIGHT TO WALLS AND ARCHITRAVE*

📍Little Tip.

▪️Rake out old caulk or filler.
▪️80 grade paper all across woodwok & remove loose paint.
▪️Back fill the crack with a rock solid repair filler, that'll give something solid for the woodwork to grip to.
▪️Once dry, light sand top edges and run a line of flexi-filler 👌🏻 (this drys hard but contains fibres which allows any movement that happens to move with the woodwork but not to crack or split).
▪️Then once thats dry, a light sand along the flexi-filler dust off and run a nice line of caulk all along the filler to give it a nice smooth finish 😉.

A job done a few months ago in Bournvile. Livingroom & bedroom both lined and painted....wish i took a few more before photos as the ceilings was coverd in cracks 🫣.....and had a nightmare when i found that patch in the bedroom!! But looks 👌🏻....also had to create my own line as theres no skirting to paper or paint too.

Not posted in a few months, but heres a job finished today in Barnt Green. A bedroom thats not been touched in 10/15 years. Wished i took a few more before photos as there was cracks everywhere! But was lovely using the and Brown paint & wallpaper.

A job finished today in Solihull. This was just a tidy up job, as the house is on the market to be sold and just wanted a freshen up as there was a few water stains, scuffs & lots of hairline cracks on the walls, and the woodwork got abit batterd. But a few days prep and abit of paint chucked about (not literally!) it'll get brought tomorrow now 😉. Dulux satin on the woodwork & Timeless matt on the walls.

A recent job 20 seconds from my house 😃. A nice feature having a black banister to break up the white. So to bring down the cost the client painted the doors, frames & skirting boards himself, while i got the ceilings, walls & bannister all filled/prep'd and painted.

Could people share please 😘

A job finished end of Jan this year in Solihull. A full staircase with "batterd" woodwork...which the bloke started to burn off 🫣. This needed alot of work to get it finished properly, but we got there 👍🏻. White ceilings, satin woodwork and a dulux diamond finish on the walls for abit more of a hardwearing finish to minimize any scuffs & knocks to the walls 🔨.
