Plumbed an unvented hot water cylinder that’s heated by an air source heat pump and solar thermal system — a great renewable setup 💧☀️

Connected all pipework, safety components, ASHP and Solar controls, and electrics, then filled, tested, and commissioned the system to make sure everything was working exactly as it should.
The cylinder now takes heat from both the ASHP and the solar, giving efficient hot water with lower running costs.

Nice to be part of a future-proof system that’s better for the environment and cheaper to run in the long term 👌

Another upgrade completed ✅

Removed an old vented hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank that were supplying a staff kitchen and toilet.
Replaced the setup with a modern electric point-of-use water heater, giving instant hot water exactly where it’s needed.

Another full heating system upgrade completed 🔧🔥

This installation included a brand-new oil tank and oil line, supplying a heat-only oil boiler which has been professionally connected to a new unvented hot water cylinder the flue was taken out at high level so it didn’t restrict access to the side of the house. The property now benefits from a balanced mains water system, delivering strong and consistent hot and cold water pressure to all outlets, along with a fully upgraded central heating controls for efficient and reliable heat throughout the home.

This setup provides improved performance, better efficiency, and long-term reliability and designed to be compact to fit inside prebuilt cupboards.

🔧 Job Complete: Boiler Roomstat Upgrade 🔧

Replaced a faulty Vaillant room thermostat with a new Honeywell T4R room thermostat.

The original integrated stat was causing unreliable temperature control, so it was isolated and bypassed. A new external receiver and room stat was installed and wired directly to the boiler, giving the customer more accurate control and easier access.

✅ Correct wiring and configuration
✅ Boiler controls adjusted accordingly
✅ System fully tested and working as it should

Two recent repair jobs completed, both involving hidden leaks that can easily cause bigger issues if left untreated. 🔧

Job 1: We were called out after a floor layer accidentally drilled through a pipe while fitting a door bar. The damaged pipe was repaired quickly, pressure tested, the pipe protected and the access hole fully made good.

Job 2: In a 5-year-old property, a screw had pierced a pipe and over time rusted through, causing a slow leak and damp below. The pipe was repaired, all damp and spores were professionally treated, and the affected area dried out. Access holes were then repaired and left tidy.

Both jobs were completed with minimal disruption, leaks resolved, damp issues addressed, and all access points reinstated. If you notice unexplained damp, staining, or drops in pressure, it’s always best to get it checked early.

This project involved a full upgrade of the heating system, including new pipework and radiators throughout the property. The existing vented system had failed and was leaking beneath the concrete floor, so a modern, more reliable solution was installed to improve efficiency and long-term performance.
