🐠 Fish of the Week: Black Neon Tetra — only £1 each!

Scientific name: Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi

Small, peaceful, and full of shimmer, the Black Neon Tetra reaches around 3–4cm and makes a brilliant addition to any community aquarium.

They thrive in soft, slightly acidic to neutral water (pH 6.0–7.5) and prefer temperatures between 22–27°C.

For the best health and colour, offer a varied diet of high‑quality micro‑pellets or tropical flakes, with regular treats of daphnia, brine shrimp, or bloodworms.

A perfect choice for anyone wanting a hardy, active schooling fish.

🍅 Right now is the perfect time to plant your tomatoes

And our 6cm pots are only £1.99, making it the ideal moment to get growing.

Plant them deep so they develop strong roots, keep the soil evenly moist, and give them as much sunshine as you can. A weekly tomato feed will help them set plenty of fruit, and removing side shoots on cordon varieties keeps the plant focused on producing those delicious tomatoes.

A little care now means you’ll be enjoying sweet, home‑grown tomatoes all summer long.
