We are currently looking for a hands on Garden Nursery Assistant, this is a permanent position of employment within Stockbridge Nursery starting in March, working two regular weekdays and every second weekend ten months of the year, working alongside other members of the team.
Nursery duties to include potting on new season bedding, production of hanging baskets and planters, general shrub stock maintenance and watering, general associated nursery works, as well as taking customers orders for our landscape material supply side, heavy importance for good customer relations, till operation and telephone mannerism required, training provided.
Starting rate from £13.50 per hour, hours 9am until 5pm, company pension and staff discount available.

The big tangerine 🍊 took part in last Saturdays tractor run along with Andy driving the wee blue Dexta, we hope everyone who watched on enjoyed seeing it ! But keep an eye out 👁️ for the big tractor with the lights still on in and around Stirling up until Christmas. 🎅

SAFETY FIRST - we ask all spectators for the Tractor Run to be considerate when parking to watch the tractors go past. We recommend the following places to park up and watch, Dobbies, Stirling Park & Ride, Wallace High School, Stirling Uni, Lecropt Church, Dunblane Centre, Stockbridge Nursery (The Tin Can), Doune Health Centre and Blair Drummond Smiddy. So as the rain starts in Dunblane after a dry week it has given us a chance to catch up with a wee Facebook update, its been a busy spell this past week or two, the big tangerine has been over in sunny Menstrie on Monday with materials for the landscaping team Sean, Davey, Michael and Jake and then up Greenloaning and a reload for (still) Sunny Strathyre with materials for a customer then its all over to the landscaping team to keep busy. Rounding off the week with materials to Gargunnock for the next project.

It has been a busy summer so far for the team and not had much chance to post some work but here is a project we have just completed for a client on the Glen Road in Dunblane. They recently have had works done to their house by and the garden was the next project, we removed over thirty tons of old rubble and spoil off site, built some new sandstone walls with reclaimed coping stones, new stainless steel handrail at the edge of the steps and tied it all in with fresh tarmac and some new planting.

Great day out at the Doune and Dunblane show yesterday, we left the aggregates and bark behind this time and showcased deals on the lawnmowers and garden machinery that we sell, we moved them out of the front shop sales area a couple of years ago so not everyone knows we sell a full range of “Snapper” lawnmowers from zero turns down to battery powered equipment
Tony our dedicated yardsman in the workshop can turn his hand to servicing and repairing all sorts of garden equipment, drop that mower that’s not running well in the wheel that’s loose and we can have a look ! or call us up beforehand to arrange a look around the deals on our garden kit.

Our big tangerine 🍊 ( Aka Big Bob ) has been busy the last week or two from bags to Lochearnhead to dropping into Dunblane Primary Nursery Garden we are grateful for everyone that looks towards us for the supply of bark, top soil, sub base and aggregate, and all things landscaping just message or call if we can help
