Another job done 👌

We’ve just finished rehaunching this sandstone chimney using traditional lime mortar — the proper way to do it. It allows the stone to breathe, handles the Scottish weather properly, and protects the chimney long-term unlike modern cement.

No shortcuts here — just solid workmanship and attention to detail to make sure it’s built to last and looks the part.

Massive repairs to a church roof by the L. Hughes Property Maintenance team! On a church roof in the east neuk of fife. Including replacing numerous traditional scotch slates, fixing hazardous loose and squint skew stones Including repointing them back up in a traditional Lime Mortar, new zinc ridge system installed, new membrane installed under slates for extra weatherproof protection, Etc.

Just finished a new slate roof in the east neuk of fife, customer had damaged slates, rotten wood and compromised membrane. Taken back from scratch and re-done with new wood, a fresh weatherproof membrane and beautifully neat Spanish slates, and the skews repointed in a traditional lime mortar.
