Today we are celebrating 35 years of the business!

It's been an incredible journey – 35 years of helping gardens bloom and connecting with amazing customers who share our love for plants and nature!

From humble beginnings to having a successful wholesale business, becoming a go-to garden centre, and further up the Fife coast our floristry business . We've grown alongside the communities we serve, offering expert advice, sustainable products and top-quality plants; everything you need to make your garden thrive.

Stan was at the Grow Careers event last week at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. A great event and chance to meet new people who are interested in joining the horticulture industry.

Great positive meeting!

On Wednesday, the Gardening and Horticulture Cross-Party Group convened at Holyrood. Rural Affairs Minister Jim Fairlie MSP joined MSPs and industry leaders to discuss the sector's key opportunities and challenges.

The Minister pledged support for therapeutic gardens, addressed peat regulations, and highlighted the mental health benefits of gardening. Professors from the University of Aberdeen presented their vision for integrating outdoor learning in schools. And Stan Green from Growforth Ltd paid tribute to Jim McColl, the "Grandfather of Scottish Horticulture." 🌱

We were all saddened to hear of the passing of Jim McColl.

“Jim McColl was my introduction to horticulture, back in 1980. I worked behind the scenes at the BBC’s Beechgrove Garden and Jim kept me right. He was a man who always helped and encouraged those around him. Our paths crossed many times over the next 44 years as he contributed with initiatives to promote gardening in Scotland. Oft mentioned as the “Grandfather of Scottish Gardening” … he was a one off, a combination of tremendous knowledge, and so generous with his time and enthusiasm to spread the joy of gardening - those wellies will be impossible to fill.”
