Sorry I haven’t posted much lately — it’s been non-stop grafting getting all the gardens sorted! Just a quick update from Stubbs Garden Service 🌳🌿

Due to an exceptionally high volume of enquiries, we’ve made the decision to temporarily close our books.

This allows us to maintain the high standards we’re known for, without over-promising or keeping customers waiting too long for quotes or work to begin. For now, our focus will be on looking after our regular customers.

We really appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy period, and we hope to reopen to new enquiries once things settle down a bit.

We’re still on the lookout for an experienced gardener to join the team, but haven’t had much luck just yet.

P.S. A quick reminder to customers — please make sure gardens are clear of items such as toys, washing lines, or bins that may block access. We’d really appreciate it, as time makes a big difference to us. We maintain a high number of gardens each day and aim to stay on schedule (and grab a proper lunch break!).

Also, we kindly ask that payment is made on the day the work is completed. We’ve noticed some payments coming through a few days later, which means we have to chase them up — and that’s not ideal for us.

What a graft it’s been this week! 🌿

We completed a big garden tidy-up in Cowdenbeath for a customer who had just bought their house a few weeks ago and needed some help getting it sorted. It was hard work, but totally worth it—the results speak for themselves.

Here are a few photos from this week. I try to take pictures when I can, but most of the time I’m rushing around trying to keep up with work, especially with the weather being so unpredictable lately!

Busy week done and dusted can’t wait to chill this weekend! 😴

A regular customer in Hillend wanted the laurels removed as they kept growing and blocking the view towards the field. Got the shrubs taken out so the garden is more open now, and we’ll be laying grass turf where they were in a few weeks. Coming back with the stump grinder to finish it off ⚙️💨

Another job done in Dalgety Bay, reducing a beech hedge to tidy it up a bit.

Friday done right 💪
A big job completed in St Andrews at the St Andrews Heritage Museum. We were working in the back garden doing a full tidy-up, trees pruning, and removing rubbish to leave everything looking neat and tidy.

The weather didn’t make things easy, but we got the job done 👍

A few jobs completed on Friday for our regular customers — pressure washing, re-sanding the monoblocks, and removing an old shed that had seen better days.

We’re really looking forward to the week ahead, with some exciting jobs lined up. We’ve also been asked to carry out a large garden tidy-up, along with trees and shrubs pruning, at St Andrews Heritage Museum this Friday. We’re buzzing about this opportunity — it’s a great sign of how the business is growing, and we feel genuinely privileged to be trusted with such a big job at such a special place.
