• Acacia removal – Tree had significant rot at the base and was becoming unsafe. Removed for an insurance company along with additional shrub clearance.

• Magnolia light prune – Carefully reduced and shaped to maintain health and structure.

• Pine dismantle in Great Dunmow – Safely taken down and site left clean and tidy.

Luux Tree Surgery were in Great Dunmow today carrying out a poplar removal.

Due to limited drop space — with electric gates, patio slabs, and underground electrical cables beneath the tree — the job required sectional dismantling and controlled rigging.

Our climber safely rigged the tree down in sections to avoid any damage. The stump was then ground out, and the area was left clean and tidy.

💪🌳 High-Stakes Tree Removal in Essex! 🌳💪

Swipe 👈 to see the size of this beast — the base of the tree was bigger than Ryan! 😅

Our team at Luux Tree Surgery was tasked with safely removing a 96ft redwood tree, standing just 20ft away from a £3.5 million barn housing over £10 million worth of vehicles inside. There was no room for error on this one.

We spent the morning rigging down the barn side of the tree with precision to protect the property, and by midday, the big kit rolled in 💥

A huge shoutout to Essex Tree Brothers and Blake Tree Care for teaming up with us — their heavy equipment made getting this massive tree safely to the ground and the timber cleared from site all in one day’s work 👏

🌳 Luux Tree Surgery – Another Safe Job Completed Today! 🌳

Today we carried out a re-pollard on a large oak tree that was directly over a brand new oil tank and overhanging a listed building. Safety and precision were key – and the team delivered 💪.

A MEWP would have been handy, but we made it work the traditional way. With careful cutting and holding over the roof, we got the job done safely, no damage to any surroundings – even if we did get absolutely soaked in the process 🌧️.

🎥 We even tried to time-lapse the tree, but the battery died about 3/4 of the way through 😅. Swipe left to see the short clip of us in action!

This week, me and the lads were back at our old primary school – but this time with chainsaws instead of backpacks! 🎒✂️

We spent the day:
✅ Removing dead cherry trees
✅ Crown lifting healthy ones
✅ Deadwooding silver birches
✅ Crown lifting & deadwooding a large pine

🌸 We even gave the old cherry timber a second life — using it to build natural path borders leading into Forest School. The goal? Get everything safe, tidy & ready before the kids return next week. Mission accomplished. 💪
