With the end of the year drawing closer it's a perfect time to get on top of the weeds and reclaim plant beds. Hedges and shrubs in need of a trim will also benefit from being cut back well before their resurgence in Spring.

With it being a good time of year for hedge cutting due to the plants becoming dormant, here is some insight into the hedge reductions that we've carried out this week.

One customer required a hedge to be brought down to the same level as as an adjoining hedge, this ensured that the hedge line was horizontally consistent and took a more natural shape.

Meanwhile another customer needed two mixed hedges to be significantly reduced to allow more light to flow into the garden and property. This action also revealed some gaps amongst the invasive Rhododendron Ponticum that in future could be filled with a more suitable hedging plant.
