Fairly recent job we completed over Houghton le Sping. The remit was to create a large porcelain paved area with acodrainage and recessed manholes.

We excavated approximately 30 tons of soil from the garden and then built the areas back up with 20 tons of crushed type 1 stone, which was compacted in 100mm layers. We laid the porcelain on a 40mm deep sharp sand and cement bed with a 4/1 mix ratio. Every paver was painted with a slurry primer to bond the porcelain to the sand and cement bed. This needs to be done as porcelain isn't porous and therefore doesn't bond to the bed without this. The area was then grouted and all areas were tidied and jetwashed, to make as good as new before we came.

The most important bit, the customers were ecstatic with the quality of the work completed as were we! If you'd like a free no obligation quote, please get in touch and we will be happy to help you. We are taking bookings, so give us a shout!

This is a recent job we completed for a canny couple over Chester-le-Street way!

The remit was to install approx 60m² of porcelain paving including two patios joined via a path, raised railway sleeper flower beds, over 35 Cherry Laurel plants mixed in with several Bamboo trees and the soil areas were grass seeded.

We excavated some 28³ ton of earth and built the areas back up with crushed compacted type 1 stone. All of the porcelain was laid on a sand and cement bed and was grouted with Fuga Pave Flex CH a non porous grout.

The customers were extreemly happy with the finished article and we were pleased to get it over the line battling some atrocious weather, but, nothing is new there! Happy new year to you all and here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024!

This is a job we recently completed. We laid 50m² of porcelain paving driveway. Slightly unusual in that most people when thinking of porcelain, expect it to be in the back garden as a patio. I've been assured since finishing the job by the customer, that they've regularly had 3 cars parked on here.

We used 20mm porcelain to create it, and if done in the correct way as we have, even with all the weight that's been placed on the driveway, it will stand the test of time!

A recent job we completed for the village of Nettlesworth, on behalf of Kimblesworth and Plawsworth Parish Council.

This work was completed with the intension of bringing back the historical relevance of the site back in to view. The spot your looking at was the source of a natural spring, which provided water and sustained the people of the area including travellers for hundreds of years. Apparently it was capped off in the 1960's as water was spilling over on to the road, causing a potential hazard, especially when it iced over!

In competing this work we...

-Excavated and landscaped the area
-Put in a foundation for the wall and built the area up with crushed compacted stone
-Formed and built the steps with India Sandstone paving for both the risers and treads (meaning no bricks)
-Lay the patio with the Sandstone paving we formed the steps with
-Built the walls with Indian Sandstone blocks and used a lime mortar mix to create a more traditional look
-The trough was put in once the work was complete. The Parish Council will be adding a water pump over the trough in due course!

Another extreme rear garden renovation, on this immaculate job we completed over in Gosforth, Newcastle. 75m² of Kandla Grey Porcelain was laid on this job, including a porcelian paving retainer with a porcelain paving plank on the top of it, a curved patio with gravel area which adjoins a path that links this and the large patio area and recessed man holes set with the paving cut into it!

How did we do it?!

-Fitted a microdigger down a narrow alleyway and excavated 36 ton of earth, which a grab wagon removed off the driveway we had protected with boards
-Brought 20 ton of crushed type 1 quarried stone in the garden to build the levels up with a stable sub base
-Mixed our sand cement in the mixer, nearly some 7 tones worth, which we laid the paving on
-Every paver is then primed (sticks the paver to the sand cement bed ensuring no loose pavers) by painting the full underside of each one
-Then the whole paving area is grouted
-Lastly all waist is removed from site and all areas jet washed

We completed this composite decking installation last week at Potters Bank, Durham. There are over 30m² of boards layed on a frame you could park your car on 💪🏻

Our customer was absolutely delighted with the quality and precision of our work. It only took them 2 minutes to get all their new furniture on it after finishing and I can't really blame them in this weather 😎

We are highly rated at 10 out of 10 on Checkatrade and are also recommended installers for Tobermore, one of only a few in the N.E!

We undertook and completed a decent sized job here battling a week of rain and another week of snow which was very fun 😬

Jobs completed...

•Removed old front and retaining walls replacing with new and incorporating coping stones and pillar pier caps

•Fences installed along boundary of the front garden

•Old block paved drive taken up and replaced with a new larger block paved area some 65m2, using Tobermore Shannon slate with a charcoal border. Two integrated man hole lids installed

•Raised flower bed and step created to front door with Tobermore Kerbs

•New two level Kandla Grey Sandstone 600x900mm patio areas created to the sum of 45m² incorporating two sets of steps

Customer was over the moon with the finished project 😀
